Herbal Infusion (Tea) Blend - Oat, Lemon Balm, Rose, Motherwort & California Poppy

$15.00

100% homegrown herbal infusion (tea) blend. The key herbs in this mix are oat, lemon balm and rose to provide a calming, ease-inducing and medicinal herbal infusion blend you can enjoy either warm or cool.

This blend is aimed to provide general support to the nervous system and uplift and soften the heart. Most herbs in this mix also provide a ‘cooling’ action.

Herbal actions:

Chamomile, Lemon Balm and California Poppy are both gentle ‘nervine’ herbs that support relaxation and tension in the gut and nerves. They provide excellent carminative actions that support the release of bloating, gas and spasms, supporting overall digestion after meals. Chamomile also has mild bitter properties, that stimulate gastric secretions.

California Poppy is most known as a ‘sedative’ herb to support sleep and rest, however, only a small amount is included in this mix, therefore use during the day is considered safe.

Oat seed and straw are classed as a nervine trophorestorative, moistening, sweet nutritional herb, considered a ‘tonic’ for the nervous system.

Rose and Motherwort are traditionally known as herbs for the heart providing gentle ease, often considered a ‘feminine/matriarchal/motherly’ support to our spirit in times of grief, anxiety, and illness, and supportive in boundary work.

How to brew: Place 2 heaped tablespoons into a l litre teapot, or 1-2 teaspoons per cup.

Pour boiling water over herbs and cover for 10-15 minutes. If you’d like a strong brew, you may wish to steep it for 30 minutes or allow to cool and drink chilled with ice. A great ‘sweet’ herbal infusion to encourage fluid intake over Summer.

Ingredients: 2 parts Oat straw and seed, 2 parts Rose, 2 parts Lemon Balm, 1 part German Chamomile, 1 part Motherwort, and half part California Poppy.

Caution: Not safe in pregnancy. Known allergy to Aster family (Chamomile).

Safety: Lemon Balm is cautioned for hyperthyroidism. Rose is cautioned during kidney disease.
