Introduction to Herbalism Workshop May

A full day of connection with plants, exploring the practices of herbalism with permaculture, evidence-based and intuitive approaches.

Discover hands-on methods to confidently process and make quality herbal preparations and recipes to take home.

Located at Fair Harvest Permaculture Farm from 10am-4pm on Saturday, 13th May, 2023.

Topics we will cover (& take-home resources for further learning).

- Seasonal medicinal and edible weed & plant identification walk and talk
- Safe foraging, harvesting, drying and storing methods & uses
- Herbal processing overview: Intro to types of preparations/solvents and methods
- Make your own herbal oxymel or syrup using seasonal home grown herbs
- Make your own topical herbal infused oil and salve using seasonal home grown herbs
- Blend your own herbal infusion teas and demonstration of herbal formulas for daily home use

This workshop will include a range of approaches to herbalism including Traditional, Western, Evidence-Based, Intuitive and Permaculture.

Lunch and herbal teas provided.
Exchange available as a sliding scale prices from $130-$150+ booking fee for a full day workshop, please pay what you can afford or pay it forward if you are able to.
