About the facilitator:
I'm Tamara, a student herbalist and grass-roots permaculturist who began studying & immersing in the processes of herbal medicine making, Intuitive and Traditional Herbalism whilst living in the UK in 2018. Since returning to Australia, I have become immersed in both Permaculture & Herbalism grass-roots education and living, and am currently completing a Diploma of Western Herbal Medicine. Last year I completed a Cert III Permaculture and have spent many hours tending to my garden and the soil. The name 'From The Soil' came from a love of caring for soil health and witnessing what it yields, beautiful healthy food and herbal medicines. My recent approach to herbalism is informed by my Health Science studies, as well as curiosity surrounding themes of herbal ritual for personal connection to land, and decolonizing herbalism.

Through my workshops, I aim to highlight the importance of skill sharing, personal connection to plants for healing, community-sufficiency building, as well as the joy that slow and simple home herbalism can bring to our daily lives.
